History of Headquarters

Built by European immigrants more than 120
years ago, the headquarters of the Castle
Norman, with typical Norman style, guard

an `archaeological` work of historical
recovery, with museum experts and journalist
, part of the Castle had its memory
reconstructed. This mapping has its high
point in the 30`s, when it was acquired by
the Coelho Netto family, having as prominent
characters in this episode, the great
writer, poet and politician - Maximiliano
Henrique Coelho Netto and his daughter, the
great opera singer Violetta Coelho Netto ,
who remained owners of the property for
about 15 years.
In this period, the Little Castle hosted
leading celebrities of the era, as great
writers, presidents (including president of
Brazil Nilo Peçanha) and internationally
renowned artists (such as the singer Carmen
Miranda).
The current owner - Marcelo Nobre Cariello,
lover of history and antique collector, was
careful to maintain the original features of
the historic building, incorporating an old
and valuable furnishings, transforming the
Norman Castle visit to a charming journey
into the past. Currently, the rooms still
keep the season`s architectural lines,
having been restored and adapted for guest
use, which join in a cozy way to past
memories, scattered to every corner of the
property, without the formality and distance
of traditional museums.
